Abstract
A method and apparatus for a guidance system that gives a farmer a choice of different approaches to coping with the problem of compaction caused by vehicular traffic are disclosed.

A method for providing access paths comprising:
- indicating a relative position of at least one access path relative to at least one swath;
- enabling a user to make a selection from a plurality of compaction management methods;
- and
- automatically determining locations of access paths to be taken using the relative position of at least one access path and in accordance with the selection.
