Abstract
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in medicine, wherein said compound is of formula I wherein R is a pharmaceutically active moiety; Ar is an aromatic moiety; X is a linker group; and Y is a moiety comprising two phosphonate groups. Further aspects of the invention relate to a method for palliative and curative treatment of bone disorders and cancer related disorders, such as breast cancer.

A pharmaceutical compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, for use in medicine, wherein said compound is of formula I
- R—Ar—X—Y I
- wherein
- R comprises a radiolabel selected from the group consisting of 123I, 124I, 125I, 131I, 211At, 186Re, Tc-99m, and β-emitting bromine nuclei;
- Ar is an aromatic moiety;
- X is a linker group;
- wherein X is selected from the group consisting of:
- a substituted or unsubstituted C1-4 alkylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-4 amine group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-4 ether group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-4 thioether group, S═O and SO2;
- and
- Y is a geminal bisphosphonic acid group,
- with the proviso that when X is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-4 alkylene group, X is meta to R.
