Disclosed are a polyester support excellent in cutting properties in a photofinishing laboratory, which has both transverse direction (TD) and machine direction (MD) breaking strengths of from 5 kg/mm2 to 18 kg/mm2, and both TD and MD breaking elongations of from 20% to 140%, and a silver halide photographic material using the support.
