Container for shaving cartridge or other stored item

A sealed package comprising

• a formed plastic container defining a storage region and having a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said container having a first confronting edge surface along a portion thereof, said container having an outwardly directed principal surface,
• a stored unit in said storage region, said unit being removable as an entire unit,
• a removable film that is sealed to said sealing surface and covers said entrance, and
• a plastic tab that is spaced by a gap from said formed plastic container and is attached to a portion of said film extending beyond said sealing surface for gripping by a user and initiating peeling of said film from said sealing surface, said tab having a second confronting edge surface along a portion thereof and facing said first confronting edge surface, said gap being defined by said confronting edge surfaces, said gap extending along said confronting surfaces, said gap also extending in the direction parallel to an axis from said principal surface of said container to a surface that is parallel with said film.

A sealed package comprising

• a formed plastic container defining a storage region defined by a bottom wall and side walls having side surfaces, and having a sealing surface around an entrance to said region,
• a stored unit in said storage region, said unit being removable as an entire unit,
• retaining structure formed on the inside of said container and extending inward from said side surfaces, said retaining structure retaining said stored unit in a desired position in said container, said retaining structure being movable to move outward to permit entry of said stored unit into said storage region and to thereafter move inward to retain said stored unit in said region, and
• a removable film that is sealed to said sealing surface and covers said entrance.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• retaining said cartridge in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure with the shaving cartridge, said retaining structure moving outward to permit entry of a cartridge into said storage region and to thereafter moving inward to retain said cartridge in said region, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• retaining said cartridge in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance,
• wherein said providing includes providing said container with a support member on a bottom wall of said container, and wherein said placing includes placing said cartridge on said support member and supporting said cartridge in a desired orientation.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• retaining said cartridge in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure with the shaving cartridge, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance,
• further comprising attaching a plastic tab to a portion of said film extending beyond said sealing surface for initiating peeling of said film from said sealing surface.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• retaining said cartridge by in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance,
• wherein said providing includes providing a plastic tab adjacent to said sealing surface, said plastic tab being connected to said container with a temporary connector, and
• wherein said sealing further comprises sealably attaching said tab to a portion of said film extending beyond said sealing surface,
• and further comprising, after said sealing, disconnecting said temporary connector.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region,
• placing a unit in said storage region, said unit being removable as an entire unit,
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance, and
• attaching a plastic tab to a portion of said film extending beyond said sealing surface for initiating peeling of said film from said sealing surface, said plastic tab being provided in a first position adjacent to said sealing surface,
• connecting said plastic tab to said container with a temporary connector, and
• after said steps of sealing and attaching, disconnecting said temporary connector and leaving said tab in said first position adjacent said sealing surface.

A method of providing a shaving cartridge on a razor comprising

• providing a sealed package including a formed plastic container containing a shaving cartridge in a storage region and a removable film sealed to a sealing surface of said container around an entrance to said storage region, said cartridge including a plastic housing and a plurality of blades, said cartridge being retained by retaining structure formed on a wall of the container,
• peeling said film from said sealing surface to provide access to said shaving cartridge,
• attaching said cartridge to a handle, and
• disengaging said cartridge from the retaining structure.

A method of providing a shaving cartridge on a razor comprising

• providing a sealed package including a formed plastic container containing a shaving cartridge in a storage region and a removable film sealed to a sealing surface of said container around an entrance to said storage region, said cartridge including a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• peeling said film from said sealing surface to provide access to said shaving cartridge, and
• attaching said cartridge to a handle,
• wherein said peeling includes, upon removal of a peeling force, said film remaining attached to said sealing surface and folded back to not obstruct said attaching.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom, side walls being deformable to permit entry and exit of said cartridge,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades, said side walls deforming during entry of said cartridge into said storage region,
• retaining said cartridge in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure with the shaving cartridge, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance.

A method of making a sealed package comprising

• providing a formed plastic container defining a storage region and a sealing surface around an entrance to said region, said storage region being defined by at least two opposed side walls each of which has retaining structure protruding inward therefrom,
• placing a shaving cartridge in said storage region, said shaving cartridge having a plastic housing and a plurality of blades,
• retaining said cartridge in said storage region by contacting said retaining structure with the shaving cartridge, said retaining structure snappingly engaging said stored unit, and
• sealing a removable film to said sealing surface so as to cover said entrance.
