Abstract
A torque transmitting system including a torque converter or a fluid coupling. The system includes a torsional-vibration damper that is positioned within the housing of the fluid coupling and that serves to damp torsional vibrations. Several locations at which the torsional-vibration damper can be positioned are disclosed.
