Novel nitrophenyl-sulphonyl-imidazole of the formula (I) wherein X, R1, R2 and R3 have the meanings stated in the description, a process for the preparation of the novel substances and their use for controlling vegetable and animal pests.

A nitrophenyl-sulphonyl-imidazole of the formula (I)
- wherein
- X represents fluorine, chlorine or bromine,
- R1 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or phenyl,
- R2 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or phenyl, and
- R3 represents fluorine, chlorine, bromine, straight-chain or branched alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or phenyl.
