Abstract
The present invention provides two members of a new family of human proteins, designated as “Zven.” The Zven1 gene, which resides in human chromosome 3p21.1-3p14.3, is expressed in testicular tissue and peripheral blood lymphocytes.
Claims20
An isolated nucleic acid molecule that encodes a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 23 to 108 of SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated recombinant host cell, comprising an expression vector, wherein the expression vector comprises:
- a nucleic acid molecule that encodes a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 23 to 108 of SEQ ID NO:2,
- a transcription promoter, and
- a transcription terminator,
- wherein the promoter is operably linked with the nucleic acid molecule, and the nucleic acid molecule is operably linked with the transcription terminator, wherein the host cell is selected from the group consisting of bacterium, yeast cell, fungal cell, insect cell, avian cell, mammalian cell, and plant cell.
An expression vector, comprising a nucleic acid molecule that encodes a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 23 to 108 of SEQ ID NO:2, a transcription promoter, and a transcription terminator, wherein the promoter is operably linked with the nucleic acid molecule, and wherein the nucleic acid molecule is operably linked with the transcription terminator.
