Abstract
Provided is a method representing an object by partitioning a surface of the object into a plurality of cells having a grid resolution related to an image plane resolution. Each cell including a single point and points in adjacent cells are connected by links. Abject attributes are assigned to each point and link, and link attributes are assigned to each link.
Claims26
A method for graphically representing an object, comprising:
- partitioning a surface of the object into a plurality of cells having a grid resolution related to an image plane resolution, each cell including a single point;
- connecting the points in adjacent cells by links;
- and
- rendering the connected points to graphically represent the object.
A memory for storing graphical data representing an object, the data for access by a program being executed on a program on a computer, comprising:
- a data structure stored in the memory comprising:
- a plurality of attributed points, a position of each point being within a cell having a grid resolution related to an image plane resolution, each cell located on a surface of the object, and each cell including a single point.
