A process for intracellular manipulation of at least one biological cell (3) present in a culture medium and adherently deposited on a support area, comprising creating an opening in a membrane of the cell (3) and manipulating the cell interior through this opening, wherein the open is created in the cell membrane within the support area (5) for the cell (3) and at a distance from an edge of the support, and wherein the opening in the membrane of the cell is created by means selected from the group consisting of electroporation, mechanical impulse, irradiation, chemical poration and electrical, chemical or radiation activation of an activatable poration substance.
