Abstract
Disclosed herein is printing paper comprising, as principal components, pulp fibers and a filler, wherein fine particles having a particle diameter within a range of from 5 to 200 nm are held on the pulp fibers exposed on at least one surface of the printing paper in a state that their fibrous form is retained.
Claims19
Printing paper comprising pulp fibers and a filler, wherein fine particles having a particle diameter of from 5 to 200 nm, a binder and a cationic substance are held on the pulp fibers in such a way that all pulp fibers exposed on both surfaces of the printing paper are covered with the fine particles in a state that their fibrous form is retained, and wherein the fine particles are applied to the printing paper in an amount of from 0.1 to 6 g/m2 and the cationic substance is applied to the printing paper in an amount of from 0.1 to 6 g/m2, and wherein the cationic substance comprises a cationic substance having a molecular weight of 1000 or lower and a cationic substance having a molecular weight of 2000 or higher.
