Extruded vehicle chassis and method of making a chassis

A chassis for a vehicle having a firewall bulkhead, passenger compartment, engine, transmission, front suspension, rear suspension, and fuel tank comprising:

• a center chassis module to which the firewall bulkhead and passenger compartment are secured;
• a drive train and front suspension module to which the engine, transmission and front suspension are attached, the drive train module being secured to the front end of the center chassis module;
• a rear suspension module to which the rear suspension and gas tank are secured, the rear suspension module being secured to the rear end of the center chassis module;
• a front crush module including a front bumper assembly, the front crush module being secured to the drive train and front suspension module, and
• a rear crush module including a rear bumper assembly, the rear crush module being secured to the rear suspension module, wherein the chassis comprises from front to rear the front crush module, the drive train and front suspension module, the center chassis module, the rear suspension module, and the rear crush module
• wherein the center chassis module is formed by a transverse rear beam that is connected on opposite side ends to two rear couplers, and two side beams are connected on their back ends to each of the two rear couplers, and two front couplers are connected to the front ends of each of the two side beams, and two convergent front beams are connected to the front couplers on their outer back ends and to the drive train and front suspension module on their forward ends.
