A protective plate for a plasma display includes conductive substrate for protecting a plasma display and an electrode in electrical contact with the conductive substrate.

A protective plate for a plasma display comprising a conductive plate and an electrode in electrical contact with the conductive plate,
- the conductive plate comprising a substrate and a conductive film formed on the substrate,
- wherein the conductive film is a multi-layer conductive film,
- wherein an oxide layer and a metal layer are laminated alternately from a substrate side to form in total (2n+1) layers (wherein n is an integer of at least 1), and
- wherein the oxide layer comprises ZnO as the main component,
- wherein the oxide layer comprises at least one metal.

- the conductive plate comprising a substrate and a conductive film formed on the substrate,
- wherein the conductive film is a multi-layer conductive film,

- wherein the conductive film is a multi-layer conductive film in which an oxide layer and a metal layer are alternately laminated into 7 layers, and
- wherein the second, fourth, and sixth layers are metal, and the thickness of the fourth layer in the conductive film is larger than that of the second layer and is larger than that of the sixth layer.
