Claims9
A method for bandaging a cable harness, comprising the step of applying to the cable harness an adhesive tape having a tapelike backing of nonwoven material, coated on at least one side with an adhesive, the nonwoven web being a staple fibre web which is mechanically consolidated or wet-laid, between 2% and 50% of the fibres of the web being fusible fibres, the web having the following properties:
- a web weight of from 200 g/m2 to 400 g/m2,
- a web thickness of from 100 μm to 3000 μm,
- a breaking strength of 75 N/(5 cm) to 500 N/(5 cm), and
- a breaking extension of from 20% to 100%.
