Abstract
This invention relates to a silver halide photographic element comprising a support and at least one gelatin containing imaging or non-imaging layer wherein during chemical processing the maximum swell of the layer is greater than the equilibrium swell.
Claims21
A silver halide photographic element comprising a support and at least one gelatin containing imaging or non-imaging layer wherein during chemical processing the maximum swell of the layer is greater than the equilibrium swell.
A silver halide photographic element comprising a support and at least one gelatin containing imaging or non-imaging layer, said layer being located above the imaging layer closest to the support, wherein during chemical processing the maximum swell of the layer is greater than the equilibrium swell and the layer comprises a water-soluble polymeric acid represented by the Formula:
- wherein M is H or a metal cation, n is greater than 10, and L1 and L2 are independently divalent linking groups, and m and 1 are independently 0 or 1;
- and wherein the water-soluble polymeric acid has a molecular weight of 500 to 15000 Daltons.
