Battery unit which can detect an abnormal temperature rise of at least one of a plurality of cells

A battery unit comprising:

• a plurality of cells;
• a plurality of temperature sensors adhered to said plurality of cells, wherein a resistance of each of said plurality of temperature sensors changes during temperature rise;
• and
• an abnormal temperature rise detecting circuit operable to measure resistances of said plurality of temperature sensors and operable to detecting an abnormal temperature rise of a cell of said plurality of cells, wherein
• said plurality of temperature sensors are divided into a plurality of temperature sensor blocks and each of said plurality of temperature sensor blocks having a same number of temperature sensors connected in series, and wherein
• said abnormal temperature rise detecting circuit detects the abnormal temperature rise by comparing resistance values of said plurality of temperature sensor blocks with one another.
