Abstract
The invention relates to methods of and kits for detecting polymorphisms in a nucleic acid encoding a human histamine H2 receptor.
Claims5
A method of detecting a nucleic acid, the method comprising
- amplifying a nucleic acid sample using at least two primers selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:6, SEQ ID NO:7, SEQ ID NO:8, SEQ ID NO:9, SEQ ID NO:10, and SEQ ID NO:11, to produce an amplified DNA;
- and
- detecting the amplified DNA.
A kit comprising a primer selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:6, SEQ ID NO:7, SEQ ID NO:8, SEQ ID NO:9, SEQ ID NO:
- 10, and SEQ ID NO:11.
A method of detecting a polymorphic variation in a nucleic acid encoding a human H2 receptor, the method comprising
- amplifying a sample nucleic acid encoding a human H2 receptor to form a product DNA;
- and
- determining whether the product DNA contains a portion of SEQ ID NO:14 having a mutation selected from the group consisting of T to C at nucleotide 398, A to T at nucleotide 525, A to G at nucleotide 620, A to G at nucleotide 649, A to G at nucleotide 692, and G to A at nucleotide 802, the nucleotide numbers being relative to SEQ ID NO:14.
