Abstract
Catalytic process for metathesis of olefins in the presence of a catalyst and a stabilizing agent that is injected into the reaction medium. Application in particular to rebalancing between one another the light olefins that are obtained from steam cracking or catalytic cracking (FCC), such as ethylene, propylene, butenes or pentenes.
Claims17
A process comprising performing metathesis of a reaction medium containing olefins in the presence of a catalyst and a stabilizing agent, which reduces deactivation of the catalyst, that is injected into the reaction medium wherein the stabilizing agent is an aluminum compound of the formula I, and wherein the catalyst comprises 0.01%-10% by weight of aluminum in the form of a promoter aluminum compound of the formula II:
- XqAIR′r I
- (RO)qAIR′r II
- wherein
- X is independently RO—, RS—, or R2N—
- wherein
- R is a hydrocarbyl radical of 1 to 40 carbon atoms provided that R is aryl when X is RO—
- R′ is an alkyl radical of 1 to 20 carbon atoms
- q is an integer of 1 or 2
- r is an integer of 1 or 2
- q+r is 3.
