Abstract
Methods of modulating, tuning and improving hybridization properties and recombination properties of molecules for use in nucleic acid shuffling procedures, relates recombination mixtures and methods of modulating, tuning, improving and evolving splicing of RNAs and proteins are provided.
Claims11
A method of producing a selected protein, the method comprising:
- producing a first recombined nucleic acid subsequence by recombination of a plurality of nucleic acids encoding a first portion of the selected protein, thereby providing a first recombined nucleic acid subsequence;
- providing a second nucleic acid subsequence encoding a second portion of the selected protein;
- expressing the first and second subsequences to produce a first protein subsequence and a second protein subsequence;
- and,
- splicing the first and second protein subsequence to produce the selected protein.
