Abstract
A carrier for an image developer for electrophotography, including a core material, and a coating layer covering the core material and containing a binder and a powder having an average particle diameter of D μm and a specific resistance of at least 1012 Ω·cm. The coating layer has a thickness of h μm. The ratio D/h is greater than 1:1 but less than 5:1.

A carrier for an image developer for electrophotography, comprising a core material, and a coating layer covering said core material and containing a binder and a powder having an average particle diameter of D μm and a specific resistance of at least 1012 Ω·cm, said coating layer having a thickness of h μm, wherein the ratio D/h is greater than 1:1 but less than 5:1.
