Abstract
A novel human protein has been isolated which is encoded by a nucleic acid molecule comprising the polynucleotide sequence provided in SEQ ID NO:1 or a polynucleotide sequence that is completely complementary thereto. This novel protein binds to at least two members of the family of TGF-beta proteins, which are the human bone morphogenic protein-5 and human bone morphogenic protein-6.
Claims16
An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising a polynucleotide having at least 90% identity with the full length of SEQ ID NO:1 or the complement thereof, wherein said nucleic acid molecule encodes a protein which specifically binds to at least a human bone morphogenic protein selected from the group consisting of bone morphogenic protein 5 and bone morphogenic protein 6.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising a polynucleotide which encodes SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule comprising the polynucleotide sequence as provided in SEQ ID NO:1 or the complement thereof.
An isolated nucleic acid molecule consisting of the polynucleotide sequence as provided in SEQ ID NO:1 or the complement thereof.
