Abstract
A tissue tensioning electrostimulator device. The device includes a plurality of laterally separable electrodes for placement against bodily tissue and for discharging electric current thereon. The device also includes a power circuit in electrical communication with the electrodes and electrically connectable to a power supply for energizing the electrodes.
Claims35
A tissue tensioning electrostimulator device comprising:
- a) a plurality of laterally separable electrodes for placing bodily tissue in tension and for discharging electric current thereon;
- and
- b) a power circuit in electrical communication with the electrodes and electrically connectable to a power supply.
A method for electrically stimulating body tissue, the method comprising the steps of:
- a) placing the tissue in tension;
- b) applying an electric current to the tissue while the tissue is tensioned.
A method for electrically stimulating body tissue, the method comprising the steps of:
- a) providing an electrostimulator device having a plurality of laterally separable electrodes and a power circuit electrically connected to the electrodes and electrically connectable to a power supply;
- b) placing the electrodes in contact with the tissue of a patient;
- c) laterally moving the electrodes to place the tissue in tension;
- d) electrically connecting the power circuit to a power supply and discharging an electric current to the tissue while the tissue is in tension.
A tissue tensioning electrostimulator device comprising:
