Abstract
Compounds of Formula I have activity as inhibitors of binding between VCAM-1 and cells expressing VLA-4 and are useful for treating disease whose symptoms and or damage are related to the binding of VCAM-1 to cells expressing VLA-4.

A compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of formula I:
- wherein
- R1 is a group of the formula Y-1
- wherein
- R22 and R23 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkyl and halogen,
- at least one of R22 and R23 is other than hydrogen, and
- R24 is hydrogen or lower alkyl;
- R2 is lower alkyl;
- R3 is lower alkyl or trifluoromethyl;
- R4 is hydrogen;
- R5 is lower alkyl or trifluoromethyl;
- R6 is hydrogen;
- and
- R7 is hydrogen;
- and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of compounds of formula I.
