Abstract
The present invention relates to hair-care compositions comprising aqueous polymer dispersions as film-forming agent. These polymers are obtained by free-radical polymerization of a radical monomer in the interior and/or partially at the surface of already existing polymer particles of polyester type.
Claims20
A hair-care composition, which comprises an aqueous polymeric dispersion comprising hybrid polymer particles resulting from the free-radical polymerization of:
- at least one radical monomer, and
- at least one polymer of at least one preexisting particle, said at least one polymer being chosen from polyesters, polyesteramides, and alkyds,
- wherein said polymerization occurs within and/or at the surface of said at least one preexisting particle.
A method of forming a film in a hair care composition, comprising forming said film with an effective amount of an aqueous polymeric dispersion comprising hybrid polymer particles resulting from the free-radical polymerization of:
- at least one radical monomer, and
- at least one polymer of at least one preexisting particle, said at least one polymer being chosen from polyesters, polyesteramides, and alkyds,
- wherein said polymerization occurs within and/or at the surface of said at least one preexisting particle.
