Abstract

The Invention concerns g solenoid valve, more particularly a proportional hydraulic valve which is arranged within a hydraulic system of a device for varying the valve timing of gas exchange valves in an internal combustion engine. The solenoid valve (1) generally comprises an electromagnet (2) having a hollow cylindrical magnet housing (3), at least one coil winding (4) and an armature (5) as Well as a first pole shoe (6) and a second pole shoe (7) and further comprises a valve member (8) having a hollow cylindrical valve housing (9) for receiving a spool valve which is displaceable relative to the valve housing (9) by the armature (5) of the electromagnet (2).
