Abstract
A method is provided for controlling the evaporator temperature in a vehicle air conditioner having an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser and an expansion element, in which the evaporator temperature is adjusted as a function of operating conditions. An evaporator temperature control, in conjunction with an optimizing of consumption and comfort, is achieved in that a first evaporator temperature value (TV—F) is determined with respect to a desired air humidity, a second evaporator temperature value (TV—F) is continuously determined for ensuring a sufficient cooling capacity, and the lowest of the two evaporator temperature values is selected as the evaporator temperature (TV) to be set.
