• m is 0, 1, or 2;
• p is 1, 2, or 3;
• q and r are independently 1 or 2;
• A is O or S(O)m;
• R1 is H or C1-6 alkyl;
• R2 and R3 are independently selected from:
• 1) C1-6 alkyl, optionally substituted with R*,
• 2) C2-6 alkenyl, optionally substituted with R*,
• 3) C2-6 alkynyl, optionally substituted with R*,
• 4) halo,
• 5) OR7,
• 6) NR5R6,
• 7) CN,
• 8) NO2,
• 9) C1-C6 perfluoroalkyl,
• 10) S(O)mR8,
• 11) S(O)m NR5R6,
• 12) NR5S(O)mR8,
• 13) C(O)NR5R6,
• 14) C3-C6 cycloalkyl, and
• 15) H;
• R4 is selected from:
• 1) H,
• 2) C1-6 alkyl, optionally substituted with one to four fluorines,
• 3) C2-6 alkenyl,
• 4) C2-6 alkynyl, and
• 5) phenyl;
• R5 and R6 are independently selected from:
• 1) H,
• 2) C1-6 alkyl,
• 3) C3-6 cycloalkyl,
• 4) phenyl,
• 5) C(O)R8,
• 6) CO2R8, and
• 7) —(C1-C3)alkylphenyl, or
• R5 and R6 are taken together with the nitrogen to which they are attached to form:
• R7 is selected from:
• 1) hydrogen,
• 2) C1-C6 alkyl,
• 3) benzyl, and
• 4) phenyl;
• R8 is C1-C6 alkyl or phenyl;
• and
• R* is:
• 1) C1-4 alkoxy,
• 2) NR5R6,
• 3) C3-6 cycloalkyl,
• 4) aryl or heterocyclyl,
• 5) —OR7,
• 6) —S(O)mR8,
• 7) —C(O)NR5R6,
• 8) halo,
• 9) C1-3 perfluoroalkyl,
• 10) C1-6 alkyl, or
• 11) COR8.
