The invention relates to the method of use of compounds with B3-agonist activity for inhibiting uterine contractions, preventing or slowing down premature labor, or for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of dysmenorrhea.

A method for inhibiting uterine contractions which comprises administering to a patient requiring such treatment an effective amount of a β3-agonist compound.
A method of preventing or slowing down premature labor which comprises administering to a patient requiring such treatment an effective amount of a β3-agonist compound.
A method for the treatment and/or the prophylaxis of dysmenorrhea which comprises administering to a patient requiring such treatment an effective amount of a β3-agonist compound.
