Abstract
A photoconductive imaging member includes a photogenerating layer and a charge transport layer, wherein the charge transport layer contains charge transport components and a poly(imide-carbonate) binder of general structure (I) or general structure(II): where A, B, and E are divalent linkages; D is a trivalent linkage in (I) and a tetravalent linkage in (II); and x and y are the mole fractions of the repeating units such that x+y is equal to 1. The poly(imide carbonates)s can be made by interfacial polycondensation of bischloroformate, bis(imidephenol) and bisphenol.
Claims34
A photoconductive imaging member comprising:
- a photogenerating layer;
- and
- a charge transport layer,
- wherein the charge transport layer contains charge transport components and a poly(imide-carbonate) binder of general structure (I) or general structure (II):
- wherein A, B, and E are divalent linkages;
- D is a trivalent linkage in (I) and a tetravalent linkage in (II);
- and x and y are the mole fractions of the repeating units such that x+y is equal to 1, and wherein y represents a mole fraction to 25 mole percent.
