Abstract
A color filter comprising a substrate, a shielding layer formed on the substrate and having an opening, color mixing prevention barriers formed on the shielding layer, and colored portions formed between the color mixing prevention barriers, the optical density of the colorants in the colored portions being raised toward the substrate.

A color filter comprising a substrate, a shielding layer formed on the substrate and having openings, and colored portions formed in said openings by using colorants, the optical density of said colored portions being raised toward the substrate.
A method manufacturing a color filter, comprising the steps of forming a shielding layer having openings on a substrate, forming a photosensitive resin on said substrate and said shielding layer, applying colorants to color said photosensitive resin, and removing some of the colorants to achieve a desired optical density profile.
A method of manufacturing a color filter, comprising the steps of forming a shielding layer having openings on a substrate, applying inks containing colorants to said openings, producing colored portions by curing said inks, and removing some of the colorant to achieve a desired optical density of said colored portions.
A color filter comprising a substrate, a shielding layer formed on the substrate and having an opening, color mixing prevention barriers formed on said shielding layer, and colored portions formed between said color mixing prevention barriers, the optical density of said colored portions being raised toward the substrate.
A method of manufacturing a color filter, comprising the steps of forming a shielding layer having openings on a substrate, forming a photosensitive resin on said substrate and said shielding layer, forming color mixing prevention barriers by patterning said photosensitive resin by exposing it to light, applying colorants to color said photosensitive resin between said color mixing prevention barriers, and removing some of the colorants to achieve a desired optical density profile.
