Abstract
Provided are methods for reducing the HIV viral load in HIV-infected patients by administering human GM-CSF. The GM-CSF is administered in conjunction with at least two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors.

A method for treating an HIV-infected patient, consisting of concurrent administration of two or more nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors and human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) in amounts and for a time sufficient to induce a clinically significant reduction in HIV viral load.
