Claims4
Process comprising purification of a pentafluoroethane (F125) containing chloropentafluoroethane (F115) by liquid/liquid extraction or by extractive distillation, perchloroethylene is used as extraction agent.
A process for separating pentafluoroethane (F125) from a mixture of pentafluoroethane (F125) and chloropentafluoroethane (F115) comprising adding perchloroethylene as an extraction agent to the mixture, extractively distilling the mixture in an extractive distillation column, and recovering pentafluoroethane (F125) from the distillation column.
