Abstract
The present invention relates to a halogen containing polymer compound containing a modified zeolite stabilizer. The modified zeolite stabilizer has a small particle diameter, narrow particle size distribution and less than 10 weight percent water. The modified zeolite stabilizer is formed by shock annealing, coating or a combination of the two methods.
Claims39
A halogen containing compound comprising a halogen containing polymer and a zeolite stabilizer, wherein said zeolite has a mean particle diameter in the range of 0.25 to 1.5 microns a <90% value particle diameter of about 0.30 to about 3 microns, and a reduced water content of less than 10 weight percent.
A method of forming a stabilized halogen containing compound comprising:
- mixing a halogen containing resin with a modified zeolite stabilizer, wherein said zeolite has a particle diameter in the range of 0.25 to 1.5 microns, a <90% value particle diameter of about 0.30 to about 3 microns, and a reduced water content of less than 10 weight percent.
