Abstract
The subject invention relates to a new forward motility protein isolated from goat epididymal plasma and a process for the isolation of the said epididymal forward motility protein useful as a fertility promoter/blocker comprising subjecting goat epididymal plasma to multiple fractionations till purification to obtain purified new epididymal forward motility protein by the chromatographic method.

A process for isolating a goat forward motility glycoprotein from goat epididymal plasma, said goat forward motility glycoprotein having a molecular mass of about 12Kda, and comprising mannose, galactose and N-acetyl glucosamine sugar residues, which comprises the steps of a) fractionating goat epididymal plasma, and b) purifying the goat forward motility protein from the fractionated goat epididymal plasma by a chromatographic method.
