Abstract
A method for processing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprising the following steps, a step for developing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material in a developing solution, a step for fixing said silver halide photographic light-sensitive material which is developed in a fixing solution containing thiosulfate salt and alminum salt, a step for washing said silver halide photographic light-sensitive material which is fixed in a washing water, wherein said fixing solution does not substantially contain a boron compound but contains at least a precipitation restraining agent and said washing water contains oxidizing agent.
Claims12
A method for processing a black-and-white silver halide photographic light-sensitive material by an automatic processor comprising:
- developing an exposed silver halide photographic light-sensitive material in a developing solution;
- fixing said developed silver halide photographic light-sensitive material in a Fixing Solution containing a thiosulfate salt of 0.7 to 1.5 mol/l and an aluminum salt, wherein concentration of aluminum ion in said Fixing Solution is 0.01 to 0.15 mol/l;
- washing said fixed silver halide photographic light-sensitive material in a washing water;
- and
- wherein concentration of a boron compound in said Fixing Solution is 0 to 0.04 mol/l, said Fixing Solution contains at least a precipitation restraining agent of 0.005 to 0.2 mol/l, and said washing water contains an oxidizing agent, wherein an amount of said oxidizing agent is 0.5 to 10 mol equivalent to an amount of said thiosulfate carried over into said washing water by said black-and-white silver halide photographic light-sensitive material.
