Abstract
A method for potentiating an organic nitrate having vasodilating activity by administering to a subject an effective amount of the organic nitrate with a potentiating amount of a thromboxane receptor antagonist and a reducing agent. Formulations and synergistic compositions are also described.

A method for potentiating an organic nitrate having vasodilating activity, which comprises administering to a subject an effective amount of said organic nitrate with a potentiating amount of a thromboxane receptor antagonist and a reducing agent.
A formulation for inducing vasodilation comprising:
- (i) an effective amount of an organic nitrate having vasodilating activity;
- and
- (ii) a potentiating amount of a thromboxane receptor antagonist and a reducing agent.
A synergistic composition for potentiating an organic nitrate having vasodilating activity, comprising a thromboxane receptor antagonist and a reducing agent.
