Organic platinum complexes active as anti-tumor agents in warm-blooded animals, and methods for synthesis of same, are described.

A compound selected from those of the formula:
- wherein n and n′ are integers 0-3;
- and A is selected from the group consisting of O and
- with the proviso that when A is O, then n and n′ are not the integer one.
The compound tetrahydro-4H-pyran-4,4-methanamine.
The compound tetrahydro-4H-thiopyran-4,4-methanamine, 1,1-dioxide.
