Abstract
A rheological fluid of a bright color which has excellent light resistance and weather resistance, is stable even when used in a high-temperature environment, can be stored over long, and mightily and precisely actuates in response to an electric field or a magnetic field or to both. The rheological fluid comprises a medium in which a film-coated powder comprising a base particle having thereon a coating layer(s) is dispersed.

A rheological fluid comprising a multilayer-coated powder comprising a base particle having thereon coating layers which differ from each other in refractive index dispersed in a rheological medium, wherein the powder is colored due to light interference among the coating layers.
