Abstract
A method of manufacturing a polyelectrolyte having the step of sulfonating polystyrene resin in a state where the polystyrene resin has been dissolved or dispersed in solvent composed of alicyclic compounds.
Claims5
A method of manufacturing a polyelectrolyte comprising:
- (a) dissolving polystyrene into a solvent;
- (b) supplying a sulfonating agent to said solvent to perform sulfonating reactions thereby generating solid materials;
- (c) separating the solid materials generated in the step (b) from the solvent;
- (d) reusing the solvent separated in the step (c) so as to be used in the steps (a) and (b).
