Abstract
Microparticulate contrast agents comprising gas or a gas precursor encapsulated by a non-polymeric and non-polymerisable wall-forming material are readily characterisable materials exhibiting surprising structural integrity and stability.
Claims8
A microparticulate powder useful as a contrast agent, said powder consisting of dry microparticles which consist of gas encapsulated by a non-polymeric and non-polymerisable solid or semi-solid substantially water-insoluble wall-forming material and a polymeric emulsifier.
