Abstract
A rectifier circuit of a voltage genetator rectifies alternating current signals provided through electromagnetic induction of a coil. The rectified signals are boosted by rectifying the voltage of nodes of the coil by capacitors, and the voltage genetrator generates a predetermined voltage by smoothing the boosted signals using a capacitor.
Claims15
A voltage generator for generating a predetermined voltage based on input alternating current signal which is obtain by electromagnetic induction of an externally supplied alternating current signal, said voltage generator comprising:
- a rectifier circuit having first and second nodes which receive the input alternating current signal, said rectifier circuit rectifying the input alternating current signal and outputting a rectified signal from an output node;
- boosting circuit electrically connected between the first and second nodes, said boosting circuit boosting the rectified signal output from the output node with a voltage on the first and second nodes;
- and
- a smoothing circuit electrically connected to said boosting circuit, said smoothing circuit smoothing a signal which has been boosted by said boosting circuit to generate the predetermined voltage.
A method of generating a predetermined voltage based on input alternating current signal which is obtain by electromagnetic induction of an externally supplied alternating current signal, said method comprising:
- receiving the input alternating current signal at first and second nodes;
- rectifying the input alternating current signal received at the first and second nodes to generate a rectified output signal;
- boosting the rectified output signal with voltages at the first and second nodes to provide a boosted signal;
- and
- smoothing the boosted signal to provide the predetermined voltage.
