Abstract
Low temperature hydrothermal treatment of an LTL zeolite-producing mixture produces a colloidal suspension of the zeolite; the suspension may be used as seeds in Al- and Ga-LTL zeolite manufacture.

Gallium-containing LTL zeolite formed of cylindrical crystallites having basal planes so shaped that the ratio of axial length of curved cylindrical surface to the overall axial length of the crystallites is greater than 0.9, the mean diameter of the crystallites is in the range of at least 0.05 microns up to less than 1.5 microns and the mean length of the crystallites is less than 0.6 microns.
