Abstract
Nickel-copper catalysts supported on an amorphous silica-alumina acidic carrier, preferably containing a binder, and having an iso-electric point of ≧6.5 are used to hydroisomerize paraffins, particularly Fischer-Tropsch paraffins, boiling at 350° F.+ into lighter, more valuable products.
Claims10
A hydroconversion catalyst comprising nickel and copper in catalytically effective amounts on a support, the support containing an amorphous silica-alumina, the alumina content of the silica-alumina being less than about 30 wt %, and the support has an iso-electric point of ≧6.5 and a pore volume of less than about 1.0 ml/g.
