An imaging element comprising a bottom layer of writable conductive material and above said writable conductive material layer a fusible layer between said writable conductive material and a substrate wherein said fusible layer material is selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneimine, polyvinylimine, laminated polymers, and modified polymers made by reacting acrylic polymers with acid groups with ethylene amines and said writable conductive layer has a surface roughness of between 0.3 to 2.0 μm.
