Abstract
A method for inhibiting neoplasia, particularly cancerous and precancerous lesions by exposing the affected cells to amino or pyridylamino cyclobutane derivatives.
Claims6
A method of treating a mammal having precancerous lesions sensitive to the compounds below comprising administering a pharmacologically effective amount of a compound of Formula I
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein
- Ar is a heteroaryl ring selected from the group consisting of pyridyl, pyrimidyl, pyridazinyl, pyrazinyl, imidazolyl, thienyl, oxazolyl, benzimidazolyl, benzoxazolyl, or indolyl;
- X is CH;
- R0 is selected from the group consisting of NR1R2 or hydrogen;
- and
- R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl.
A method for inhibiting the growth of neoplastic cells sensitive to the compounds below comprising exposing the cells to a growth inhibiting effective amount of a compound of Formula I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein
- Ar is a heteroaryl ring selected from the group consisting of pyridyl, pyrimidyl, pyridazinyl, pyrazinyl, imidazolyl, thienyl, oxazolyl, benzimidazolyl, benzoxazolyl, or indolyl;
- X is CH;
- R0 is selected from the group consisting of NR1R2 or hydrogen;
- and
- R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl.
A method for inhibiting the growth of neoplastic cells sensitive to the compound below comprising exposing the cells to a growth inhibiting effective amount of 3-Amino-4-[3-(4-Imidazolyl)Anilino]-3-Cyclobutene-1,2-Dione or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
