Abstract
Compounds having formula I are inhibitors of urokinase and are useful in the treatment of diseases in which urokinase plays a role. Also disclosed are urokinase-inhibiting compositions and a method of inhibiting urokinase in a mammal.

A compound of formula II:
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, wherein
- Z1 is a heterocycle selected from the group consisting of pyrimidinyl, pyrazinyl, piperazinyl morpholinyl, tetrazinyl and pyridazinyl;
- Z2 is selected from hydrogen and alkyl;
- and
- R6 is selected from hydrogen and hydroxy.
