An immunogenic composition for inducing in a porcine host an immunological response against a PRRS virus comprising a plasmid that contains and expresses in vivo in a porcine host cell a nucleic acid molecule encoding at least one of PRRS virus E, ORF3 and M proteins.
An immunogenic composition for inducing in a porcine host an immunological response against a conventional hog cholera virus comprising a plasmid that contains and expresses in vivo in a porcine host cell a nucleic acid molecule encoding at least one of E1 and E2 proteins.
