Abstract
A novel urethane compound utilized as a raw material of block isocyanate, diisocyanate, developing agent for thermosensible paper, powder paint and the like is provided, and it is a biscarbamate represented by the following general formula (1): (wherein, R1 and R2 may be the same or different and represent a straight or branched alkyl group, (substituted) cycloalkyl group or (substituted) aryl group.). Further disclosed is a method for producing a polycyclic aliphatic diisocyanate by thermally-decomposing a biscarbamate represented by the general formula (1).
