Abstract
A fluorine-containing triallyl isocyanurate of the formula [I]: wherein at least one of X and Y is a fluorine atom, and the other is a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, exhibits good curing properties even when it is used as a crosslinking aid for elastomers which are required to have good heat resistance, such as in particular, fluororubbers, and provides cured materials having good mechanical properties and heat resistance.
Claims18
A fluorine-containing trialyl isocyanurate of the formula (I):
- wherein at least one of X and Y is a fluorine atom, and the other is a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom.
A crosslinking aid comprising a fluorine-containing triallyl isocyanurate of the formula (II):
- wherein at least one of X, Y and Z is a fluorine atom, and the others are hydrogen or fluorine atoms, with the proviso that if Z is a hydrogen atom then X and Y are not both fluorine atoms.
A crosslinking aid comprising a fluorine-containing triallyl isocyanurate of the formula (I):
- wherein at least one of X and Y is a fluorine atom, and the other is a hydrogen atom or fluorine atom.
A method for the curing of a peroxide-curable elastomer comprising curing said elastomer with an organic peroxide in the presence of a crosslinking aid comprising a fluorine-containing triallyl isocyanurate of the formula (II):
- wherein at least one of X, Y and Z is a fluorine atom, and the others are hydrogen or fluorine atoms.
