Abstract
The invention provides nrdF polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding nrdF polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing nrdF polypeptides to screen for antibacterial compounds.
Claims16
An isolated polynucleotide, comprising a first polynucleotide, or the full complement of the entire length of the first polynucleotide, wherein the first polynucleotide encodes the same mature polypeptide, expressed by the nrdF gene contained in Streptococcus pneumoniae 0100993 contained in NCIMB Deposit No. 40794.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising a first polynucleotide or the full complement of the entire length of the first polynucleotide, wherein the first polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising a first polynucleotide or the full complement of the entire length of the first polynucleotide, wherein the first polynucleotide encodes a polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:2.
An isolated polynucleotide comprising a first polynucleotide or the full complement of the entire length of the first polynucleotide, wherein the first polynucleotide comprises SEQ ID NO:1.
