Projecting apparatus for a high-resolution color liquid crystal projector

A projection apparatus for projecting a full-color image onto a plane, said apparatus comprising:

• three optical modulation elements for modulating three primary color light components;
• an illumination optical system for illuminating each of said three primary optical modulation elements with corresponding one of said three primary color light components;
• and
• a projection optical system for projecting said modulated three primary color light components from said three optical modulation elements onto said plane,
• wherein said projection optical system comprise a projection lens, a first reflector and a second reflector for reflecting the modulated primary color light component from at least one optical modulation element to said projection lens, and a corrector for correcting an illuminance unevenness on the plane of said modulated primary color light component reflected by said first and second reflectors,
• wherein said correction means has a drive circuit for varying a magnitude of a modulation signal of said optical modulation element, and
• wherein said optical modulation element is adapted to be switched between a transmission mode and a scattering mode as a nontransmission mode, and the modulation signal sets said optical modulation element in the transmission mode.

A projection apparatus for projecting a full-color image onto a plane, said apparatus comprising:

• three optical modulation elements for modulating three primary color light components;
• an illumination optical system for illuminating each of said three primary optical modulation elements with corresponding one of said three primary color light components;
• and
• a projection optical system for projecting said modulated three primary color light components from said three optical modulation elements onto said plane,
• wherein said projection optical system comprise a projection lens, a first reflector, a second reflector and a third reflector for reflecting the modulated primary color light component from at least one optical modulation element to said projection lens, and a corrector for correcting an illuminance unevenness on the plane of said modulated primary color light component reflected by said first, second and third reflectors.

A projection apparatus for projecting a full-color image onto a plane, said apparatus comprising;

• three optical modulation elements for modulating three primary color light components;
• an illumination optical system for illuminating each of said three primary optical modulation elements with corresponding one of said three primary color light components;
• and
• a projection optical system for projecting said modulated three primary color light components from said three optical modulation elements onto said plane,
• wherein said projection optical system comprise a projection lens, a first reflector and a second reflector for reflecting the modulated primary color light component from at least one optical modulation element to said projection lens, and a corrector for correcting an illuminance unevenness on the plane of said modulated primary color light component reflected by said first and second reflectors wherein said correction means comprises a light attenuation member for varying amounts of the color light components for illuminating said optical modulation elements.

A projection apparatus

• for projecting a full-color image onto a plane, said apparatus comprising:
• a plurality of optical modulation elements for modulating color light components:
• an illumination optical system for illuminating each of said plurality of optical modulation elements with corresponding one of said color light components;
• and
• a projection optical system for projecting modulated color light components from said optical modulation elements onto said plane,
• wherein said projection optical system comprises a projection lens, at least one reflector for reflecting the modulated color component from at least one optical modulation element to said projection lens, and a corrector for correcting an illuminance unevenness on the plane of said modulated color light component reflected by said at least one reflector.

A projection apparatus

• for projecting a full-color image onto a plane, said apparatus comprising;
• three optical modulation elements for modulating three primary color light components;
• an illumination optical system for illuminating each of said three primary optical modulation elements with corresponding one of said three primary color light components:
• and
• a projection optical system for projecting said modulated three primary color light components from said three optical modulation elements onto said plane,
• wherein said projection optical system comprise a projection lens, a first reflector and a second reflector for reflecting the modulated primary color light component from at least one optical modulation element to said projection lens, and a corrector for correcting an illuminance unevenness on the plane of said modulated primary color light component reflected by said first and second reflectors.
